The Namwianga mission in southern Zambia has been in operation for almost 100 years. In the past, it was involved mainly in preaching the gospel and preacher training. Now, it has expanded into Christian education and also has a free medical clinic, children’s home, Christian radio, food distribution in times of famine, and a food producing farm and ranch. The mission has been influential in establishing more than 2000 congregations in southern Zambia. Our brother Jared Thomason was born at Namwianga. Along with preacher education, the school at Namwianga prepares many Christians for a career in teaching and has one of the best teacher schools in the country. Their medical clinic will soon be adding a surgical suite. Their current projects include collecting infant formula, solar projects, and ensuring safe drinking water.
